Puppy Training Programs
Building Trust From Day One

There’s nothing quite like bringing home a new puppy. The excitement, the snuggles, the tiny paws, and yes, the puddles on the floor and the chewed-up shoes. It’s a lot. And it’s also the most important time to start building the relationship you want with your dog.
At Trusted Tails, we believe puppy training is really about building trust. When your puppy trusts you, learning comes naturally. That’s why everything we do is rooted in science-based, positive reinforcement methods that help your puppy learn with confidence, not fear.
Puppy Training Programs

Puppy Now! In-home Training
Age: 8-12 Weeks
Puppy Now is our in-home puppy training program for puppies 8–12 weeks old. We help you puppy-proof your home, build routines, answer your questions, and start positive reinforcement training before group class begins. It’s the perfect first step toward building trust and confidence together.

Puppy Tails Day School
(Drop-off Program)
Age: 12-20 Weeks
Life is busy, but your puppy’s learning doesn’t have to wait. Drop off your 12–20-week-old puppy at Puppy Tails Day School to give your puppy trainer-led practice, enrichment, and confidence-building during the week, with transfer sessions to help you continue the skills at home.

Puppy Group Classes
Age: 12-20 Weeks
Our puppy group classes for 12–20-week-old puppies combine learning and socialization in a fun, supportive setting. From Puppy Foundations to AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy to special puppy sport classes, your pup builds real-world skills and confidence alongside other puppies. Small class sizes mean personal attention from our trainers every step of the way.

Bob’s Puppy Social Club
Age: 12-20 Weeks
Bob’s Puppy Social Club is our supervised play and socialization program for young puppies. With trainer support, puppies practice thoughtful play, recall, sharing, relaxation, and positive experiences with dogs, people, and new situations. It’s more than playtime — it’s the foundation for a confident, well-adjusted dog.
Our lead trainer, Becca Castro, and the Trusted Tails team bring years of hands-on experience working with puppies of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. We’re a woman-owned company that genuinely loves both the dogs and the people who walk through our doors. We work hard to make every program approachable, supportive, and team-oriented, because training is something you and your puppy do together.
How We Teach
We use science-based, positive reinforcement methods. That means lots of treats, praise, and play. It means building trust through consistency and kindness. And it means zero intimidation, ever. Puppies learn best when they feel safe, and our training environment is designed to make every experience a positive one for both you and your pup.
What We Focus On
The first few months of your puppy’s life are a critical window for learning and socialization. We make the most of that time by focusing on:
Safe, supervised exposure to new people, dogs, sounds, surfaces, and environments during the critical socialization window (typically 8-20 weeks). This is the single most impactful thing you can do for your puppy’s future.
Sit, down, stay, come, and loose-leash walking. The everyday skills that make life together easier and more enjoyable.
Real strategies that work, because nobody wants to be mopping up accidents months down the road.
Teaching your puppy to be gentle with their mouth, so those needle-sharp teeth don’t become a bigger problem.
Getting your puppy comfortable with being touched, examined, and groomed. This makes vet visits, nail trims, and bath time so much less stressful for everyone.
Helping your puppy feel secure in new situations so they grow into a calm, well-adjusted adult dog.
Why Start Now?
There’s a common myth that puppies need to “grow out of it” before training begins. The truth is the opposite. The earlier you start, the stronger your foundation. Puppies who receive early training and socialization are more confident, better behaved, and less likely to develop fear or anxiety as they grow.
You don’t need a perfect puppy. You just need to start. We’ll be right there with you, helping you and your puppy build a relationship based on trust, understanding, and a whole lot of wagging tails.
